Default Best drop for my truck

Hey guys, what is the best drop height and kit to use for my truck? I don't want it slammed, but something clean, and that won't mess me up too bad when I take it to the strip. I just want to keep a smooth ride but take away that 4x4 look of the stock suspension. Thanks!

I have Belltech 3" front coil, 4" rear shackle, hangar. The ride is not great but bearable, I also have the Nitro active shocks, I have heard that those may be the problem.

Your options are a bit different starting with the Z71, but have you checked out this guy's truck:

http://www.x1nova.com/K1500.html

It looks seriously cool, maybe it could give you some ideas.

EDIT: I went to your site and noticed that you do not have the Z71, so the sky's the limit for you. I just made an assumption based on your avatar, my bad.

I'd say 2/4 for everyday drivability. There are a ton of options out there for you. If you want a stock feeling ride go with McGaughy's spindles in the front with shackles/hangers in the rear. If you want a firmer feel go with some Hotchkis springs; coils in the front and leaves in the back.

It does not ride the best, but everyone I have talked to says the Nitro Active shocks are the main reason. The biggest problem I have is the rear bottoming out. It really needs a C-Notch or a set of the helper bags. I will probably get a set of the rear helper bags myself.

Well, for anything lower then a 4in rear drop in a NBS chevy a c-notch will defenitely help you on ride comfort and is highly recommended. Shocks are the next big thing in ride quality I suggest the Doetsch shocks web page:http://www.doetsch-shocks.com/3.asp. Maybe a 2/4 drop will be right for you! Go with a McGaughys kit http://www.mcgaughys.com/ or DJM http://www.djmsuspension.com/ Both really reliable kits! Man I love that HD hoods and the 06's. Makes a helluva big differnce!
