Do the gears and don't look back. I still drop down to second gear from an 80 roll with 4.10s and the pull is hard. Remember, the 80e has a taller 2nd gear than the 60e.

I like my 3.42s.. ive pulled it to 140 several times.. and to 160 one time in Overdrive

new turbo setup it pulls third gear just as hard as it does in first, even tho the boost goes from 5 to 25psi...

I ran a 4.56 with a yank ss4000 in mine, I thought it was a perfect roll racing setup. An 80e is alot different then a 60e, a 60e 2-3 shift is the most horrifying thing I've ever experienced, holding 2 longer is better for the 60s but the 80e with the closer gearing just keeps pulling away in third. Id say 4.56 with 30in tire or 4.30s with a 28.

4:10s and never look back. the 4:30 will be enough to annoy you on the highway as a cruiser. id rather give up some performance for a tad of gas mileage for those weeks/weekends i put 500 miles on my truck cruising around

4.56 I get 18 mpg on the highway with a 370 in an ext cab and run mid 10s on the bottle.
