Default Belltech Rear leaf springs vs. Hangers and shackels

Can anyone give some input on ride, performance, and overall quality of using Belltech rear drop leaf springs for a 2/4 vs. the hangers and shackles. Seems to be easier to install the springs rather than bust the rivets out for the hangers, but if ride is going to suffer considerably, then I'll think differently on it.

I think Claye on gmfullsize.com had them and hated them. Said the ride sucked. If looking at springs, I would do the Hotchkis setup, not belltech. The ride will stiffen up with them though, but handling will be much increased.

I don't mind the ride so much. I hadn't researched the Hotchkis until now, and they seem like a better part. Plus, the stiffer rear setup should help traction a bit at the track, and keep the rear-end from bottoming out on the frame as much as a stock spring w/ shackle & hanger drop would.

I have the Hotchkis 4' leaf spings on both my trucks and love them. I also have 2' belltech drop shackles on both as well and again the perfomance is outstanding.

In that case, go with the hotchkis setup. You could also get the swaybars to go along with the kit. I just installed them on mine and the difference is definitely noticable.

Waite and save up the extra cake for the Hotchkis. They are sooooo worth it! After doing that install I will NEVER do a set of hangers again!

Awesome. I will definately be going with the Hotchkis rear setup... probably sticking with Belltech front spindles. And yea, the sway bars will be going on shortly after. I really want wheels though once the drop is on.
