I don't know that I would want to do any rear suspension with the bed on except for front hanger.

I never touched my fuel tank, on on my cc, I never touched the front hangers at all...just saying!

+1 on bed off, and I used a torch as well. I also cut off the lower mounting points for the stock hangers just to clean the install up.

and with the bed off, it only takes about 10 minutes to drop the tank =)

I couldnt be happier to stumble on this im going to be doing it this weekend. Did anyone need to drop the tank when taking off the bed to do the driver side one?

Yes, take off the tail gate to make it a tad lighter. Hardest parts was lifting it high enough to get it over the bumper.

4 would be no problem. I used 1.... and a forklift.
