Bad brake hose, or caliper???

On a 2wd hub assemblies are a breeze to change. Pull all of your brake hardware off, rotor, caliper, mounts, ect. Then look at the back of the spindle and in the center there should be three large bolts in a triangle around the bearing. Undo them and the hub assembly will be loose (it may be a bit tight in the spindle so you may need to gently tap it out with a hammer) also don't forger to unplug the wheel speed/abs sensor before you pull the hub (new hub should come with a new sensor). Reassembly is pretty much the reverse of this. Should only take you an hour or two to get done.

I have replaced both of my front wheel bearings on my truck! If yours is a 2wd...like mentioned above they are a piece of cake! As a warning....DO NOT get the cheap china brands. I when cheep on my passenger side and had to replace it again with in 4,000 miles of driving.
I remember the three bolts on the back of the hub needed to be torqued down to 130ftlbs. Super easy to change them out!

the passenger side caliper looked the same, the pistons were all the way down.

If you think they need replaced, now would be the best time to do it with everything apart already. It's hard to say if they are good or bad without seeing them. They don't sound like they are bad to me, sounds like they just got pushed back. But like I said, it's hard to say without being there and looking at them.
