Default AWD conversion

I have always thought of converting my truck from AutoTrac 4WD to a full time AWD system like in the Silverado SS trucks (or like my wife's SAAB 9-7x 5.3) One major expense would obviously be the cost of the t-case but also the front axle. The reason is because the front axle has an actuator that would need to be permanently locked to make the AWD work properly.

I was browsing napaonline.com and came across this:

NAPA AUTO PARTS

Would this be the answer to that problem?

You don't need a whole new front diff assembly. Just change the passenger side to awd parts. Example: the extension housing, one piece inner shaft etc etc. Make sense?

most people just put the truck in 4hi before they start the mod. then unplug the actuator. or you could get that cable actuator from jc whitney.
