Default Autotrac NP246 Help please. No 2wd..

I bought a Yukon because it needed a transfer case, seller couldn't afford to have it repaired. I was able to drive it onto trailer, it did make a horrible clunk seemingly every 180*.. Pull the case. Opened it up, put new clutch pack in, chain, MA pump kit, replaced the control actuator bearing, cleaned it and put new fluid in. Clunk is gone. Re-soldered 5 broken contacts in the switch cluster so able to switch between all options. Drives great in auto or 4hi. I can hear encoder motor switching between all settings. No real changes seem to occur. It will not move in 2wd I can hear the shaft spinning inside of the t case but cant understand why no power thru a solid shaft.. Please help, I did find a used case locally on craigslist that I am about ready to go pick up to swap in. I don't want 2 transfer cases when it could be the TCCM?
Thanks.

another question, I just went to look at that other transfer case for sale, it apparently is out of pre 03 because the encoder motor has different plugs than the 05 that i'm working on.. can I take my motor off and swap it onto the older t case? it appears to be the same bolt pattern but my question is if the shaft is the same..?

The 246 is a 246. you can change just the encoder motor. But, lets get back to your original problem. When you switch it to 2wd does the 2wd light come on? It could just be in the front actuator. My 246 would still spin the front driveshaft at all times. Just the front actuator would kick the front end out.

Yes, 2wd light come on, I can hear it switch inside of the case and feel when someone else pushes the button. But, I also lose power to the rear, everything is disengaging... Doesn't seem possible to me but that's what happens.
Also from research on eBay.. looking at pics, the 03 and later shafts are splined to the encoder motor.

Wow, ive never heard of it losing all power. Seems you have a problem with the encoder motor or something inside the case.

? Well, I found an 03, I guess I'll go get it and put my new MA kit in it to hopefully eliminate the transfer case
