Default Autometer tranny temp gauge?

I am interested in adding a tranny temp gauge, most likely to my a-pillar. I am seriously not f*king around with my tranny anymore, after dropping some serious coin on a new one.

Does anyone use an Autometer tranny temp gauge? Where do you install it?

Let me know!

thanks,
Chris

If you swap to a Denali cluster you'll have a factory transmission temp gauge and a 120 speedo.

Are you speaking of the gauge or the sender, as far as the install is concerned?

I put my gauge in the I/P cluster and installed the sender in the tranny pressure port. I asked about the pressure port location, but nobody seemed to have an opinion about it: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255799

And if you are thinking about a Denali cluster: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258628

Here is where mine is mounted. I already had 3 gauges in the A pillar so i have to come up with somehting new. I acutally like it there better though casue is out of the way and its right about the tranny, so it kinda fit there IMO https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...chmentid=13683

I did mine just like snakeoiler! I don't have white guages so I just used the autometer sport comp guage. Just use a 2" hole saw and have at it. Check out Ryan23Silverado's website, he has very useful pictures on it. Just make sure you get the electric tranny temp guage.

I mounted a trans temp gauge on my pillar
Electric Carbon Fiber gauge.
The sender is in the port - right above the shifter - see the photo above

I went with a Cyberdyne digital tranny temp gauge from Summit Racing. It relays "low" until 70 degrees, then it tells the temp. I decided to go that route, because I wanted a small tach, as opposed to the larger "monster" tachs, and I had to make all the gauges match. I mounted the sender in the slot right above the linkage on the tranny. Quick and easy.

I installed a c/f autometer gauge into a dual a pillar pod. Extremely easy install. Took me a little over 2.5 hours to install the pillar, tranny temp gauge, and a/f gauge. Just pull the plug on the drivers side of your tranny and install the sending unit with some teflon. Good luck
