Default Assassin Traction Bars

I've been searching a little and it seems there has not been much talk about these on here. I won't post a link as SRD is not a sponsor, but you can google them.

Anyone else run these yet? I know Phantom bought them in his build thread, however he has not installed them yet (to my knowledge). I know Cal-tracs are tried and true, however these seem to have more adjustability and you don't have to remove the leaf to install. I do not make big power at all, however due to the flip kit I have I get ridiculous wheel hop at the track and on the street. And down the road the plan is to make more power. Thoughts on these?

Get them. Even if you don't use the adjustability, it's always there. And they're the same price, maybe even cheaper than the cal-tracs. The ease of installation would be enough to sway me since the price is comparable. Everything that comes out of smith racecrafts shop is awesome.

If you're in the market for some bars, don't hesitate to get the smith bars

I'm very tempted to.

Phantom, I looked at your picture of them in your build thread, but it's tough to tell how they mount under the axle. The site says no u-bolts required. How do they mount? Think you can take a better picture of the bracket? Thanks.

You will have to use the ubolts if you get some like mine.

you sure it's your flip-kit causing the wheel hop? Never had wheel hop with mine with the pinion angle set neg a bit...

I've got a brand new caltrac kit for flip kit I'm looking to get rid of if you might be interested... just lemme know.
I mean I'm not sure if it's the flip kit that is causing it, but either way, it's wheel hopping.

Send me a PM with how much you want for the Cal-tracs.

It looks too me like the front could slide up the spring. I actually like the way the Caltracs mount on the front better. I am in the market for some bars and am not quite sure what to go with yet. There have been guys that are talking about making long bars, and I am quite interested in doing something different.

you drill a hole in the leaf and put a bolt through it. They send you the bit and bolt with instructions on where to drill
