Default Anyone tried coilovers on the rear in place of shocks?

I have both my shocks on the rear of the axle (just welded a mount on passenger side, ds is stock) and have the shocks as stiff as they will go but have more weight transfer than I would like. This would probably only apply to 4wd guys.

I was thinking of trying a coilover shock with a light spring (200lb maybe) in place of the shocks in addition to the leaf springs.

Thoughts?

What about just adding some bags? I believe the gto guys just add drag pack to help them out. Not really apples and oranges, more like apples and donkeys but you get the idea.

I would say too much because none of the tires unload, it just lifts the front too much and the front driver side starts spinning.

limiting straps yo!!! or more aggressive shocks up front. with your traction bars you shouldnt really be getting any squat anyways...

I think limiting straps would unload the suspension a lot more...I have some clicks left on the front, I think they are 12/18 right now....should probably try that first before I buy anything

Next project will have a solid front with an elocker so no need to worry about lifting one side

i just think youll have a lot more to gain by working on the front than the rear... with the tracion bars spring rate out back should really be kinda a moot point... i think... maybe...

What kind of traction bars do you have on the rear? If they are adjustable, you need to play with those settings.
