Default Anyone have a DD with a spool

I am planning on upgrading my rearend soon and was woundering if anyone put a spool in there truck and how it was on the streets and on the tires?

don't do it. your tires will not be able to differentiate in speed, therefore causing you to just squeel around turns. it'll wear your tires much faster than normal.

why not get a LSD?

Dont do it. Sucks. It'll hop, chirp the tires, steer differently, pretty much ruin the driving experience. IMO

Good for donuts tho.

I've got several f-body buddies that have a spool in there car and they drive it daily. I know it would chirp around corners and **** just woundering if any buddy had done it before

I have done it with 38" and 40" tires.... do yourself a favor and get a LSD... the driving in the rain alone will be enough... its too dangerous with a full spool IMO...

i had a buddy that had a spool in his el camino...for about a week. i think it get s more annoying ot drive than anything. if you can do the work yourself, then give it a shot. if you dont like it have somehting ready to swap out.

That burgandy truck. It was cool for a day, now I wish it was open again. IMO

ok thats what i was thinking. Anyine use a detroit locker? This really isn't my daily driver i drive when it is nice outside. I have two other vehicles. does a locker suck on the road or should i just get a posi? and if i go with the posi who makes the best to take the abouse.

I had a locker it was not to bad but you had to be easy on rainy days, and it started chewing up the outsides of the tires a little.
