I removed the link out of respect for our sponsors and per forum guidelines. I would look no further than the builders we all recommend.

i figured the link would of got yanked, was just wondering if this would be an alternative solution. Not trying to knock on any of the sponsors, as they do alot of work and have quality products. Its really no different than mustangs being powered by chevys, because its cheaper and easier to do. just keeping a open mind, and open discussion.

I can't imagine it's any cheaper to build/ install one of those transmissions than building and installing a 4l80e. It might be a "better" solution for the f-body crowd, but the size difference doesn't matter in a truck. The ford tranny's need major upgrades and a different bellhousing to be strong and bolt-up. 4l80's need only minor upgrades and are direct bolt-ups. Either way you end up needing a different driveshaft. When all is said and done, I'd personally much rather have the 80e as it is by far the superior tranny.
