HD trucks and diesels use very large diameter shafts.

What's the diameter of the SSR one? The wall thickness?

If I were you with slicks a hard hitting clutch and possible nitrous of of the hole I wouldn't go with anything less than a 3" .083 steel driveshaft. 1350 yokes and viper yoke on the tranny if you haven't already.

Ask yourself this: Would I be able to power shift into 4th at 80+mph with 700rwhp and not have any doubt in my mind that the aluminum won't twist.

I would talk with a driveshaft company.

I would also put 2 drive shaft loops...1 to keep you from pole vaulting off the track, and 2 to keep from tearing the bed off your truck when it lets go at 5000 rpms and turns into a blender.
