my combo LQ4/T56. Im using an LS1 slave cylinder and the truck's stock master cylinder. Ive looked at the Mcleod and Ram ajdustable ones. Im using an LS7 clutch and Id really like to put an adjustable one but RAM told me theyre made for F-bodys and not trucks because the firewall is different. has any t56 guys have luck with an adjustable cylinder?

 

I'm assuming you want an adjustable M/C cause you want to regain some pedal travel? A much cheaper, albeit more labor intensive, alternative is to shim your slave cylinder. There was some fellow either on here or on tech that was selling shims for not too much money, especially when compared to the price of the adjustable master cylinder.

 

i contacted McLeod and Tick, no one makes them for the trucks. I'll pprobably go with shims until I figure out another way.

 

Unless I'm missing something here, the T56 and your slave cylinder don't know that they've been installed in your truck, rather than an F-body. The shims should work for you.
