Default Add me to the toasted tranny list

Well today I finally toasted my tranny. Or I guess I could say yesterday. Yeasterday I took a tech 2 from the dealer I work at and found that I was shifting from 1-2-od. So I was guessing maby I burt the band being that I didnt have 2nd or 4th. But I would go easy on it untill I can get some parts or get another tranny. Well this morning I was on my way to work as I pulled out onto the high way. I then found that I didnt have od. So I'm hitting about 55@ 3500rpm for about 8 miles going "Well Fruck" the whole way. I stop at a red light but when I take off it will not shift at all. Luckly I was almost at work and was vert agravated. I mash into it to about 4k and let out of it and then it all of the sudden hits really hard and shifts into 3rd. But I lucked up by working at a dealer so I'm drivin around a 2001 S-10 for the time being. If you guys dont mind. Please post the BUILT tranny your running and the good/bad thing of it. Also please post a price, I'm ready to get back into my truck.

Built 4L60E? Mine's got a shift kit and extra clutch pads, had it rebuilt after I toasted the 2-4 band like you. Cost $2300 parts labor and R&R. Not sure if that's a good price or not.

I have been thinking and I think I may go with a fully built tranny. I dont know which one would be the best. I'm torn between the FLP,Jag,and Rockon. I know FLP is going to be the highest out of the three and I'm going to have to borrow the money for it. But I need the best one I can get. I see that the Level 3 trany from rock on can handle 600hp/600tq. Does any one know how much this tranny cost and how good it really is? I need to order some time this week. Monday being the best time. This is my Daily Driver and its killing me to drive this little S-10!

Well 1895 doesnt sound to bad either for one that will handle 600 foot pounds.
