ABS sensor?
#1
Ok I have a 2500hd that at really slow speeds when braking one front wheel thinks it is locking up and starts the shudder of the antilock brakes. The steering wheel pulls to the right when it does this.
The abs light comes on frequently and the ding like the door does with hit 6 times sometimes and 4 other times. For about a week I could drive exactly two miles and it would ding 4 times. LOL crazy huh.
The other day the I get in and start down the road and the ac blows hot air. When I say hot I mean 140 degrees. When I got in the truck the thermometer I have sticking out of the ac vent said 110. After shutting the truck off and turning it back on it blows cold again. It has not done that since. posting the ac info in case somehow the bcm or computer is at fault. I doubt it but you know better safe than sorry,
My mechanic did clean the abs sensor as well as the grounds all over the truck. Even the one that the abs unit uses. The killer is the problem got worse once he cleaned the sensors.
It has posted codes but I will have to get them.
got the code c0227
Thanks in advance

Gm does have a TSB about cleaning the corrosion on the hub were the sensor sits. Have you lifted that side up off the ground and checked for play in the hub??? If the hubs bad it will also cause erratic readings.

We did the tsb and it got really bad. My technician came to the conclusion that it was mechanical and checked to see if the hubs had the same tone rings in them. Guess what. Different. Swapped one so they both matched and it is fine now. The new hub did have a new abs sensor though.
