Default A6 in an 06'?

I was wondering if it was possible to put a new A6 in my 06' Silverado. Since it is a 4x4 doing gears is cost prohibitive plus I need the 3.42's to get some gas milage out of this thing. So a trans swap seems in order if I add any more power. So is it doable to get an A6 in there? Thanks.

It will need a lot of modification and a whole new ECM to run a 6l80e in your truck. Which is the reason you don't see any here. Way to much wiring and money to make it work. Not saying it isn't possible but just not reasonable or at least right now no. Once the aftermarket catches up and releases a controller for it is when you will start seeing more and more swaps but for now hell it's hard enough to even swap them in the 4 speed nnbs trucks much less an older body style.

You could buy the GM supermatic tranny computer/harness. I think they have one for the 6 speeds. When I was looking into them, they were around 1000 bucks
