Default 80e swap checklist

Can't find a real specific list in the search...anybody come up with a solid parts list for pulling the 60 off of a 5.3 and puttin on the 80e? No sticky yet?

I have seen a couple of discussions with that had many different opinions. Besides the crossmember and small fabrications...what else and get where?

Oh...how the hell do you get your hands on the speartech harness. They haven't answered any emails and they don't post a phone #? Who else sells a harness?

Spacer and flywheel, any special place to buy? Need new fluid lines...I heard you don't need a starter becuase of the spacer. I thought I saw a discussion with 02denali's spacer was too big. Where can we can get a spacer that is tight? Already have Allen doing the ECU. Anything else? I imagine both driveshafts (ahh $$$4WD$$$) will need to be cut down I imagine.

The crank spacer for a 6.0 is the one you want, you need longer crank shaft bolts, you need a 4L80E torque converter,a position indicator switch,a 4L80E flexplate and a front trans speed sensor wire.I bought most of my parts through the dealer at wholesale pricing{a friend of mine works behind the counter}.Parish 8 used to have most of the swap info posted on his website.

Here is a list of parts I had to buy for my 80e swap but mine is also only 2wd. 2001 4l80 with 11k on it from salvage yard $1100. trans lines $20, fluid $30, mine did not come with converter cover or bracket for cable so this was another $70, I just got my flexplate drilled at the machine shop for $20 and it worked great. Wiring harness from speartech $160 there phone number is 785-378-4908. I used the stock converter and i like it pretty well. I think that is about it besides the crossmember work. I think you should be able to do a swap for around $1500.

THANKS for the phone #!

Hey Lance, what specifically should I look for in the flexplate so that I get the right one?

Saw that...I already ordered my 80e... He only wants a local pick up as well. I believe he's in Florida...even so...almost too busy for the swap let alone a 2 days worth of driving. Thanks though.
