I went with 3 1/2" steel. 66 1/8" center to center.

The best place to go around here is Power Drive in Wichita, they have built a couple of my drive shafts and I've never had a problem with any of them. I'm pretty sure I have a 80e Yoke if your interested PM me.

I slid the yoke all the way into the trans and had to pull it out right at an inch to bolt it to the axle. So I figered this should work fine. has maybe 300 miles on now everything seems to be working great.
did you need to buy a conversion u-joint to go from the bigger 4l80e yoke to the smaller 4l60e driveshaft??

That yoke takes the same u-joint thats already on you 4l60 driveshaft. Its the 1 1/8th dia. The other 4l80 yokes take a 1 3/16th dia u-joint. SO when you buy that slip yoke you can get a solid u-joint thats stronger than a conversion one. Atleast thats what I was told by the guy thats doing my driveshaft.

Yep thats correct. You just have to buy a factory replacement u joint so you have the inside clips, you cant reuse the stock ones anyways, but it fits just like the stock yoke did.
