Do you have traction control? If SUV then Borg warner. The transfer case has a metal tag on it that will list what it is, the tag should be on the rear of the case.

I did it with my truck that has a BW 4481. Your going to need a different adapter and either change the 4L80e output shaft to 27 spline or change the input shaft on the TCase to 32 spline. I went with upgrading the 4481 BW transfer case with parts from a newer BW, i think 4482 that sit behind a 6L80e. They have the 32 spline input shaft along with a sprocket and chain that are a 1/4" thicker. I went with the shaft, bigger sprockets and chain to make it as strong as i can.

Hope this helps.

The BW4482 requires electric shifting unless you lock it into AWDhi and leave it. Would need a cover plate for the shifter hole. If it ever popped out of gear going down the road you would be screwed though.

I am not sure how much effort it is to add electric shifting to an AWD vehicle. You would need the shift motor and the button and harness.

If I'm not mistaken, the 4481 isn't chain driven like the nvg149 is
