700r4 im putting 5.3 in my 91 sivy....will it hold up...or am i going to need to put heavy duty stuff in it...im not doing anything extreme right now with the 5.3 my tranny guy siad it will hold up..which he said there a vette servo n 220 stall in it...what yall think the tranny might have bout 6-7000 miles on it

 

I think that it will be fine, guys have been putting 700R4's behind very healthy sbc's for years, and it's basically a manually controlled 60E

 

so chance it budhyes?

might want to go the turbo 350 route. I have went through many 700r4s in the past with a stock tbi 350. Im pretty sure it want hold up to long behind a healthy 5.3. If it does hold up u would still wish u went the other route. Just my 2cents.
