325's on a 9.5" wheel?

How wide?

For street tires...
Hankook has a 275/60R17...Ventus ST RH06...30" tall...

Nitto NT 420S...275/60R17 110V...I currently have these in 18" and love them.

If you're referring to DR's...yeah...nothing that I see either.

325s would be fine on the 9.5 wheel. Only concerned with clearance to the fender. I know on my 20s the 275s are a very tight squeeze, but the racestar rims should have more favorable offset.

Good info on tires, I did a little digging.

Hankook Ventus ST Rh06 275/60R17
36.6 pounds
29.6 dia
10.6 wide
~$155 each

Nitto NT 420S...275/60R17 110V
38 pounds
30 dia
10.8 wide
~$142 each

Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2

39 pounds
30.6 dia
10.7 wide
~$173 each

All say they can fit on a 9.5 wide wheel. How nasty would that be to have these on all four with 17 x 9.5 wheels.

Did a lil research on the M&H 325's...
I read about this in some old threads on various forums and thought I'd just pick up the phone and call M&H and ask them to confirm.
This is just food for thought...I'm not questioning your comment or arguing with you...at all.
The 325/45R17 DR's USED to be an inch narrower and were NOT a true 325.
People bashed M&H (even though the narrower tire hooked)...so M&H widened it...same scenario with the 275/50R17 DR's.

Per M&H:
The 275's AND the 325's were both widened.
275's went from 8.8" to 9.5"
325's went from 10.1" - 11.1"
His exact words regarding putting the 325's on a 9.5" wheel was, "NO...not at all...no way!"

I was aware they widened them, but I'm not sure exactly when the change took place. I know people have run them on zr1 wheels (9.5 wide) with no problems. Also, was he speaking from a liability standpoint or performance standpoint? You know, people have run the 28" hoosier slicks on this site on stock 7" wheels for years with no issues and good results. On a 9.5" wheel, will the 325 or 275 hook better?

May be just a liability issue...dunno.
I have no clue regarding which would hook better on a 9.5" wheel...at standard pressure, I would think the 275 would...let enough air out and maybe the 325 would...they may be fine for track...dunno.

Mine will basically just be a track setup, will still roll on the 20s on the street. I'm not opposed to the 275s, if they work better. Also, wondering if there's any height difference between the 275s and 325s. M&H has both listed as 28" tires, yet I've come across a review online showing the 325s as 28.5" tall.
