Default 6l90 transmission

I have a 2013 chevy 2500hd. It has started to have the convertor surge. What would be a good course of action to take?

1- flush trans/convertor
2- full rebuild with new convertor
3-other

not sure where to start. Truck only has bolt ons and 47,000 miles.

thanks for any ideas you can send my way.

I did a google search and nothing exact came up. Mainly for my education, are you saying that that engine surges while you accelerate and for some reason you already know it is the torque converter?

talking to a couple local shops they are telling me its convertor surge. fluid is great and it shifts fine. Tranny shop is telling me to get ready for a $3500 bill and rebuild. I think I'm going to have it flushed and see what happens first.

Going up hill the truck will surge but not shift under steady throttle

You would have been a couple of days closer to solving your problem if you started this thread with that statement.

If it was a fuel issue wouldn’t it also trip a light? I have no lights on and if I turn on tow/haul it goes away.

It only happens when you go up a hill? How fast are you going?
