My concern is more that offroading with a stall that pays dividends on the street can become more of a compromise. Lol at rubbing the 6.2 in your face; I didn't order the kiddy engine for ya, you did that to yourself

Anyway, keep us posted on what you do, I'd like to see how it works out. Oh, and you need the multidisk converter if you plan to tow and beat on it in the mud and stuff.

our dealers dont offer the 6.0 and the 6.2 doesnt come unless you get a denali truck ...

i rather pay 5000$ more like you guys and get the 6.2 with the 9.5" and disk brakes and pay my mod money in supercharger and lay some serious numbers but i have to get all these done first

or you can be kind and send me a ready to beat truck..like yours

ill see what Chris @circleD will say about the triple disk cost and use and update the thread

And yeah, the triple disk will be the one to get for your application. A gear swap shouldn't hurt your cruising mpgs too much at all, to be honest with you the extra torque may improve your overall mpgs on the heavier tires. Do you have 3.42s?

A triple or 5 disk TC is only needed if locking the TCC at WOT.

Unfortuanately, Circle D only makes single-disk converters approved for towing for the four-speed transmissions. The only unit they approve for towing with the six-speed is their triple disk. It may not be 100% necessary, but that's their standard, so I would think that there is a reason for that. Plus if you tow with the single disk and something happens you'd probably be SOL because you were out of operating spec.

Sounds like I need to work on my website a little. Any multi disk is good for towing, in a 4 speed or 6 speed. Sorry for any confusion there.

I do agree with you guys, for his app - the multi is a good idea.
