You might be a first on this forum.

The 6l90e has wider gears and some extra clutch plates which makes the case 35mm longer than the 6l80e.

It should bolt up to the engine, but I can't find much on the electronics or torque converter. I would imagine the electronics would be identical. The 6l90e only has a 300mm converter available in twin and single disc lockup and whereas the 6l80e has 258mm and 300mm, twin and single disc lockup, respectively. Twin disc is for extreme torque applications.

Not sure on output shaft differences though.

it slips like a gurl with a tub of lube, makes noises in 4th, and at times ETC codes flash and there's no gear until I clear the code....

took it to a transmission builder today, he told me the 4th is the weak link in these trans...he's already done 2 C6s with the same problem... looking to buy a rebuilt or used one.. if anyone finds one out please lemme know!

thanks
