Default 6L80 guys please chime in

I picked up a spare 6L80 trans to go thru and build up. The only thing Im not really finding is there isnt much for aftermarket better hard parts. Some guys say they are making 600-700 and have no probs w the stock trans but since I have a spare Id like to make it somewhat bullet proof. Is there anyone out there that has a list of what and where to buy some better parts from? Ive looked at Sonnax and most of those parts just seem to be replacement oversized parts for worn out trans.

I've looked and asked around, been told nothing is available yet bc they are so strong in stock trim. My normal builder told me to service it, that's it, this is the same guy who made me drop 4700 on 3 Allison 1000's so he isn't kind to me... Lol. He even told me to leave the stock converter alone until I whack it?

I've been told the same thing, just rebuild it w stock GM parts and it'll be fine in stock trim. The one tech told me just to pack another clutch in, just like in the 6L90 and it'll be good to go. Just don't wanna throw it back in w/ the Maggie and everything else I'm throwin at it and have problems in a month

They're just rebuilds with an extra clutch or two added. They may use different clutches and steals but I don't think people are having a big problem with the factory stuff under 600. After all the debacle with the clutches in the Duramax performance World warping and delaminating I'd rather go with the proving Factory stuff anyway. All the performance companies were using us as guinea pigs.
