well im putting a procharger on my truck as of now its a heads cam stock lower end 6.0. made 415RWHP 395RWTQ ran the best of 12.3@110
ive already got a performabuilt lev 2 60E with a yank SS3600 in the truck and i have not been nice to them in anyway i run the truck at the track with slicks and i beat on it like its going outta style on the street and the trans hasnt skipped a beat well hears my question
1. put billet input and out put shafts and do the sonnax updated smart tech input drum in my lev 2
2. buy a junkyard core 80E get it rebuilt
3. buy a 80E from a sponsor on here with a warranty
imo im leaning towards beefing up my 60E just cause ive already got it and ive got faith in it its been in my truck 4 years and its still ticking
AND I KNOW YOUR ALL GONNA SAY JUST DO THE 80E

I think your on borrowed time with the 60E. At some point I would step up to the 80E.
IMO I would get a built one if you're not going to do the rebuild your self. To many trans shops just replace what's worn but don't go the extra step to replace bushings and bearings or set up the tolerances for performance use.

Cool. Yea they seem legit!
With a cam the size of what you're putting in and the way a procharger makes power you're gonna need one hell of a loose converter haha
What are you leaning toward?

The kid with the stock 4.8L, sure. But here we're talking a heads/cam 6.0 on boost with an owner who intends to beat the **** out of the truck. It's just not worth gambling money on a 60E. Sell the trans in it now, before it's broke, put the money towards a well built 80E, and worry about other things breaking.
