No i didn't take any pics while I was doing the swap, I'll get some of the shifter location and try to post them. Every time I try to post pics, I run into a size problem or something. Maybe I could email them to someone that knows what they are doing

I've got a few little details to work out, like the shift boot and center console, I was going to use a console out of the LT trucks like everyone else, but with the gto shifter I'm not sure it would be possible.

That is the GTO trany? My f-body comes trany shifter location is about 6 inches closer to the firewall then that.

Yep, its a GTO tranny, I watched em pull it out. I had purchased an f-body shift lever and shifter assembly and tried to use them, it all bolted togther, but when I went to shift gears I didn't have 1 3 5 or reverse. So I had to put the GTO shifter assembly back on the tranny with the f-body lever and ****. I also had to cut more out of the floor, because the gto shifter is offset about an 2.5 to 3 inches further back. I think I said in an earlier post 1.5 to 2. but 2.5 to 3 is more accurate.

So how are you going to put in a console now? Are you just going to make one?

I will probably try to make something, I don't think it will be to complicated. And I can design it however I want it to look.

So how do you like the 6 speed with the 373 gears?

It's really not bad, the gto uses the same gearing as the z06, so i've got a 2.97 first gear ratio, and a .56 sixth gear. I would almost bet that the truck is probably at least a half second faster than before, if not more.
