The rears in the SS trucks were the same as in the reg trucks, until 05 IIRC then they got the 14 bolt. Same goes for the Vmax trucks.. Other then that the 8.6 rear is all the same in all the trucks...

The 14b 9.5" rear is what you are thinking of. The AWD SSS got the 10b, but the later vmax and 2wd sss got the 14b

Default rears

Ok, so if i read this stuff right, an old style 12 bolt 8.75 would fall
between both of the truck rears. 10 bolt 8.6 and a 14 bolt 9.5 ?
how do you tell if is a 14 bolt by looking at it on the outside ?
Or maybe i should just look for a Dana 60 from a Dodge truck.

What are you wanting to do with the truck, to need a 14 bolt?? Curious. A built 10 bolt will take alot of abuse..

I'm thinking of doing this conversion. Whaat carrier does the 14 bolt 9.5 have. Somewhere I read it was a g80 as well? This should bolt right up to my nnbs ccsb without modifying anything right?
