has anyone had good experiences running that combo? im swapping a lq4 into my 94k1500 and really dont want to go through all the hassle of swapping a 80e into it. i know some newer suvs come stock with that combo.

 

I have n it never gave out on me. I rana 5.3 on a 200shot, the a 6.0 lq4 h/c fbo 4.10gears with posi, then another 5.3 with fbo, n heads n still never gave out....

That's the combo that the SS's, VMax's, Denali's, etc., use, and IMO, if the trans is built right, and the 6.0 isn't too wild, the 65E can survive if it isn't beat on like crazy. But, it does seem to be hit or miss for a lot of guys. I had my 60E built by FLT to their Level7 with the plans of eventually bolting my LQ9 in front of it...
