The trans dipstick goes to the bellhousing stud on the top/mid right...it's a stud with a 15mm hex on it, and a threaded part that accepts a 13mm nut...

Ohhh, I hear ya, duh, 700R4, different bellhousing. I'm trying to remember where it bolted to on my mom's own Camaro...I'm guessing that the best bet would be to run a 700R4 dipstick and tube, if it will clear the firewall on the vehicle that the 700 is going in to. If there's a spot to bolt it to the head, that allows the tube to seat properly, not leak, and allow the dipstick to be accurate, then I'd say go for it.

I'm assuming that the original 350 had a threaded hole that the 5.3 doesn't? Any chance of drilling and tapping a hole into the 5.3 block safely?
