I had a problem like this. I know your switch is new, but in mine I had to solder every connection at the back of my switch, then the switch worked. I bought a new motor, and took the old one out. I decided to see if my old motor worked, and tried it when it wasnt in the front end. It surprisingly worked. I couldnt figure it out for the life of me, so I pulled the front end apart. There was a bad bearing, so I replaced that. The bearing was nothing that could have caused the problem, but for some reason it works now. Anyways you should be able to push the fork over that the motor moves, and the return spring should bring it back. The fork basically moves a gear over to connect the axle together. If the gear/fork can not move over this could be your problem.

Remove your motor, and plug it in with the motor hanging. Activate the 4wd, and the motor should move. If the motor does not move it is either a bad new motor, or something electrical like another bad switch. If the motor does move, it would more than likely be something mechanical in the front end. You can go in the hole where the motor mounts, and push on the fork with something. That fork should move freely. If it does not move freely, that is your propblem.
