Default 4L80e yoke to lose

hey guys im doin a 4l80e swap in my 2001 ecsb and I ordered me a yoke part# n3r-3-9161x when I install it, it seems to me its a lot loser than it should be. Isnt it supposed to be firm and snug when you slide it onto the shaft? or is this normal? also when I rotate it back and forth a little I can feel its got some play.

Are the splines all the way to.the.inside end of the yoke? There is supposed to be a lil bit of play and an 1" or more forward play. Maybe a bad tail bushing.

yes splines are all the way in, its not the bushing because I had the tailhousing off to make sure the shaft wasn't moving its got play between the shaft and slip yoke, I thought it was suppose to fit very snug its like the slip yoke is just a touch big

O ok i see what your saying now. The inside splines seem to.be a lil sloppy loose when on the output shaft of trans? Maybe a bad yoke. I order mine off ebay. I get th longest one and cut 1" off the end with.a chop saw. Works for me.

You shouldn't have slop. I think I read somewhere that GM made a special nickle plated yoke to address issues like this in some GMTs. I can't recall the details on it though.
