Default 4L80e tailshaft/ujoint question...

I bought a 80e the other day and it has a ujoint type tailshaft instead of the slip yoke. is this worth the trouble to change to the slip yoke type? It looks like this.

Do you have a 2 piece ds? if not then you have to change it. there are 2 possibilities as to what tailshaft is in it. some will accept the longer slip yoke and some won't. I got my 80 out of a van so it had a 1 piece and a slip yoke.
