4l80e install?

i used a 2500hd crossmember. 125.00. i got the harness from speartech. 200 and some change. had my exhaust redone. 180.00. bought a vig verter from precision 964.00. tranny was 2600. so yay in all it is about 4000. there are cheaper ways to do i am sure.

Was the vig a triple disk? Tbyrne sells a vig 80E verter for $730, guess it's a single disk or something.

Do you have a pic of the 2500HD crossmember installed. What did you have to do to attatch it?

i dont have a pic right now. i will take some as soon as i get her back from jag. to attach it i drilled the frame and mounted it with bolts.

I just bit the bullet and ordered the Speed Eng setup. I should've just did this when the first 60E went south. I'd basically be even now.

I'll take pics and document the install when everything gets here.

Can you get a driveshaft for an extended cab? Do you need both or just the half that goes into the tranny?

on mine i had them build me a new front shaft and balance it out after the new u joints and carrier bearing were in.
