Has anyone tried the 4l80E lower 1st & 2nd gear swap? What was your opinion of it vs. stock?

 

I tried,they won't work in a late model 4L80E.I bought a set for FLT to install in my last transmission,Chuck said they would only work in a early non center fed 4L80E unless you went with a full manual valvebody.Those gears are designed for a TH400.

 

I guess that cancels that idea. My 80E is a 2005.

 

Thanks whitt1. That's all the answer I need. I saw that they weren't recommended for computer controlled vehicles, but didn't know if you could tune around them.
