Hey guys, i'm in the process of building up my 80E for my Silverado, but need some help.
The trans I have is a '97 4L80E, but it's a 2wd transmission. I need to convert it to 4wd for my pickup. This normally involves an output shaft swap, and a tailhousing swap. However....the 80E's appear to have a few different combinations of output shafts for the 4x4's, as well as 2 possible (3 if you count the cast iron) tcase adapters/extension housings.
Anyone got some ideas for me, idk which one I need for my particular swap, and don't wanna guess wrong and have to tear the trans back down once I get my Tcase out and can't mate it up.
Output Shafts:

Greatly appreciated guys!

U34678PA for the shaft. U34770EE for the housing are the ones I would use. If you call there to place your order ask for Bill Maddox and tell him Vinnie sent you! He will get you what you need and verify the numbers I gave you. THe other two 4x4 housings will work as well I just like the cast iron one if they have it. HTH Vince

Thanks Vince! I greatly appreciate it sir.
I was going to order #U34678NA, good thing you stopped by!
So I take it the newer pickups need the 5" shaft by the recommended part number.
I love WIT, they kick butt for trans parts no doudt!
Again, big thanks my friend.
