Default 4L80E cooler fittings help

I've currently got a 30K cooler, -6 hose and 45* ends in the truck from when the FLT 65E trans was in. Since I'm going to a late mode 80E I know the rear cooler line fitting is the extended type, and the front fitting will cross right over fine...

My question, where do I get a 1/4"NPT > -6AN fitting with the extension on it so I can re-use my hoses?

Nobody that I know of has one. Your probably going to have to modify one by welding on an extension. I think thunder550 has a pic floating around here of one he did. I did a search but couldn't find it.

just add some -6 An hose? I have around a one foot peice on each of my cooler lines that i leave attached to the tranny, makes it a lot easier to get connected when its placed up in there.

edit. Just use a -6 flare to -6 flare. Then back to the -6 hose end and add hose

Thanks!

Colton, I was talking about the fitting that goes into the trans itself, I've already got hose to add for the rear.

Be careful threading in a NPT fitting to the trans. The threads in the trans are not tapered and overtightening concentrates the spreading force at the top of the threads in the case, it can split.
It would be better to use an O-ring fitting.
For the rear inlet, the best thing to do is TIG weld a steel -6AN flare fitting to the stock fitting.
