A buddy of mine is doing a crazy diesel swap in his 02' chevy 2500. Hes going to sell the powertrain that has about 100,000 miles on it. He was always good about changing fluids but did do a lot of towing (2-3 times a week). Everything works well but worried about the high mi. I would have no prob doing a rebuild if the price was right. Just wondering what you guys would pay for the tranny and possibly a 6.0 with that amount of miles. i dont want to rape him but be fair
. Thanks.
. Thanks.

looks like he neglected to say the tourque converter may be on its way out, so ill see what happens when the time comes, wont be for a few months before he swaps in the diesel. Im gona help him with it anyways so i may get it real cheap.

Instead of using that iffy converter, just get a stall. I went with an Edge and its a great converter for a great price. You don't have to get a big stall but on a RCSB it comes in handy. Esp if you are getting that heavy *** transmission you are gonna want a stall to make up for the weight you gained.
With the mods you have I believe you would benefit from a healthy converter
