Default 4l80 vs 6l80

Wanting to build a 4l80 but it's hard to find one to build, 6l80s seem to be everywhere. Will they hold up to as much beating as a 4? Significantly more to build?

The 6L80e can handle alot of power for sure, but the issue you run into on a GMT800 is working a way to control it. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I think you'd need a stand alone controller to make it work. Your GEN 3 computer won't be able to ever control that transmission.

It doesnt hurt to look on ebay for a transmission, know a few people that have bought them that way. Sure it's always a toss up but so is buying from a junkyard near you.
