Default 4l80 trans cooler lines

So trans getting about 200 after 30 mins of driving.

I notice that both trans lines are right on top of header. kinda half *** wrap insulation around lines. Stupid question would header pipe get hot enough to heat trans fluid going into trans.

Do these lines need to be run a differn't path?
Can i just wrap these up better insulation? if so what kind?

I feel like that wouldn't be enough to cause a significant rise in trans temps. The contact area with the header is pretty small and there is a LOT of fluid. Definitely get them off the header though. The lines are moderately flexible.

That will heat your fluid up, the trans lines are aluminium and will pull heat very well.

I ended up installing a tru cool 40K cooler. Works great.

highway temps 175
In town temps 160
wot 185

Cool down quite a bit. Install was very easy with brackets from time2kill on this forum.

I suggest getting your trans lines off of your headers, they should not be touching.

X2, it will rub a hole in the lines.
