I need a 4l65e manual. Also any 4x4-2wd conversion info?
Update: I bought the online atsg version and i didn't get it in my e-mail box. IDK if it is because they are closed for the day or what but last time I got one from them I immediately recieved it. I want to get this torn apart the right way.
There are a few threads on here but not with much detail. If you know of a great thread send me the link. I know Vince had a nice thread with images but they are no longer visable. I am also aware of the thread on LS1 tech "basement build". I am looking for a manual of some sort.
Also the trans is from an 08 Silverado CC. I'm guessing the donor came with at least a 5.3 cause it was loaded. Any way of telling what trans it had? Or what came with 70e's or 65e's.
It's a good trans with low miles but it's a 4x4 so I will have to convert it to 2wd.
I got a 2wd output shaft and tailhousing. Any wiring changes internally cause of the transfer case speed sensor? cup plug removal?
Iv'e converted 80e's and the said information above minus wiring got me to 2wd.
THanks guys

Copy of Atsg 65e update went through. This book is not a guide to rebuild a 65e as I was hoping. It basically covers the updates that have occured over the years of the 60e and 65e. It was $30 bucks and I guess I still have to buy the original book for $30 for a total of $60. Pretty gay if you ask me. I paid $30 for the 80e manual. This is an FYI to you guys so you know beforehand. So now more of your bench space will be taken up cause you will have to have 2 books to cross-refference. Anybody have the original 60e manual I could borrow?
