Default 4L65 to 4L70 swap

I was wondering if I can swap my spare 4L70 from my nnbs Silverado into my wifes 03 Denali. Besides swapping the transfer case over, do you guys think that it will plug right into the Denali harness and work with no problem or retune? Someone told me that there are different # of pins on both transmissions. I think it should be the same and work fine, just making sure.

What year is it from, if it's before '09, then yes, it will work just fine. It'll have two extra pins on the connector but you do not have to worry about those, it is for the Input Speed Sensor and your ECM doesn't utilize that function. The transmission harness to the ECM will plug in just fine. I'm running an '07 4L70E in my '04 and it works just great.

Thanks. Its a 07 4L70 going into a 03 Denali. That's exactly what I thought but I wasn't sure. I have a 07 4L70 in my 90 T/A LS2 swap plugged into a 4L60 standalone harness but it doesn't run yet, so I wasn't 100% sure.

What is the benefit of the 70 over the 65e?

Do you guys know if the 4L65e would hook up to the LR4 4.8L block? Im about to swap parts from my ls2 onto it and was curious if my ls2 flexplate would work? I'm sure id have to get longer bolts or something. If like to keep the 65e convertor if possible.

Thanks and sorry for the hijack

Would a 06 trailblazer ss 4l65e work in a 01 c1500. I've read a couple places that the plugs different.
