Default 4l60e reliability upgrade parts?

im fixing to order a rebuild kit for my 4l60e, what are some common internal failures that i can change to keep reliability up on it? as of right now it as a corvette servo, transgo hd2 kit, and a big tranny cooler

The 3/4 clutches are always history on a heavy truck.

i shoulda said a budget list, lol, this a basically stock 5.3 2wd truck. it might see the track a few times a year and pulls my drag car a few times, but mostly just daily duty

When I had a built 65E I had the best luck with Borg warner high energy clutchs.

the beast reaction shell is 35 dollar insurance for keeping 2nd, 4th and reverse

i just ordered a beast sunshell and double cage input sprag, along with a heavy duty rebuild kit with a kevlar band

this is what caused the pull out and tear down

hey !! guys i was woundering if someone could put a parts list together for a 4l60e !!! im fixing to rebuild it again !! yeah again !! so i would need the best of everything !! thanks !! this would help on the build progress !!

I will say transgo is top notch in my book right now, when pulling the trans apart I found a broken 1-2 accumulator spring, called em up to get another, thinking I would have to pay for it. they are sending out both accumulator springs free of charge. A++ customer service

With the broken over run clutch hub and the combination of the rolled input sprag, I'm going to guess that you like to manually downshift your trans! It looks like a stock single caged SKF sprag which is prone to fail as well. Make sure to get the Borg Warner dual cage sprag on this build.
