My local builder told me that too.....5 trannies later he gave me my money back and told me he couldn't do it...

True, and I bet they won't warranty anything if they think you've raced it. Aren't most transmission warranty void if it's been used in racing?

I know your Level 5 is the ****, but with shipping and all its' almost twice the price...and I gotta give you my stock one. I know you get what you pay for......but a $3k transmission for a 300hp truck doesn't fit into my "budget". I'd like to get rid of some of the T/M, but I'm skeered! Maybe one day I will be able to afford a REAL transmission....I guess I'll keep saving

I'm sure that they don't rate it at 795hp because they think you are putting it in your grocery getter.

Check this guy out. He's even better. He say "I can custom build any transmission to 1500hp and guarantee it" (Next to his video in the scroll box)
BTW, I had one of his transmissions before I bought the FLT.
The 1-2 shift was HARD. 2-3 sounded like somebod threw a brick under my truck. It did last a year before it crapped out but it wasn't a street mannered trans.
Oh, and if you listen to his vid and he says he builds ever trans himself...he's lying. When I called several times asking questions, I was told "Jimmy" or "Rob" or whoever was working on building it right now. He trains his builders but he doesn't build them himself.

Well first of all you don't need our level 5 for a 300hp truck. If you asked me what trans you needed for 300 h/p you could go with our street/performance level 3 for $1550.00. No need to spend $3K for 300h/p

Don't we all?....I mean in a daily driver. You always want to look ahead, but in all seriousness, I doubt I would buy any 4L60E unless it was an FLT, and of course I'd want the best one....just in case. There are too many 450-500hp trucks around here with the FLT Level 5 that are having ZERO issues with FLT to even think about going anywhere else.
