Default 4L60E internal wiring harness

Can it be replaced without dropping the valve body?

The salvaged 4L60E I bought had some of the plastic tabs on the round plug slightly damaged and the plug was loose. I popped it back up into place and it seems to be secure, but if it leaks or falls back in, I will need to replace it.

Thanks for any ideas.

Yes the harness can be replaced without removing the valve body. You would need to remove the 1-2 accumulator housing, the epc solenoid and the pwm lockup solenoid in order to do it. I have also seen a bracket from sonnax that can be used to salvage a harness that is damaged like yours. Vince

Awesome. The Sonnax bracket is only 2 dollars and I had never even heard of it. Thanks for the great info Vince!!
