Default 4l60e Double checking that I am right

I am 99% sure that my 3-4 clutches are gone. I have the clutches and before I pull it out I want to make sure that I am on the right path, before I pull it out and put them in. The truck runs fine in reverse, 1st and 2nd but when it shifts to third the rpms shoot up and it doesn't pull anymore. I can manually shift back to second and all is good in second. It has an HD-2 kit in it and I can hold 2nd and drive it without any issue until I shift back into third and the same thing happens. This is all in accordance to what I have read about what happens when the 3-4 clutch pack goes. Is there anything else I should check before I just pull it and fix it? I just want to make sure before I pull it. Thanks for the help
