Default 4Hi launch in Tow/Haul mode?

From a dead stop in 4Hi, would activating the tow/haul mode help me in any way? Should I not even fuss with the Tow/Haul mode and launch in 4hi? I'm curious if it would damage the transmission/transfer case..

It depends on if your tow/haul mode is set up more aggressively from your tuner. I know mine is set up more aggressively, with less tq management, so it does help a little.

Mine is pretty aggressive, it drops a gear and hangs it depending on the rate of speed I'm traveling. BTW, my transmission is built.

I don't see how it would hurt anything using the tow/haul. It's not like it's going to give you 50 extra hp, maybe like 5 lol

my intentions were to launch in 4Hi and in Tow/Haul mode at the track tonight. Right after second gear hits, I hit the 2wd button. I'm wondering if running both together and switching back to 2wd down the track will mess anything/confuse the computer and destroy either the tranny or transfer case.

If you dont have a tune it will definately hurt. TM in tow/haul mode is like 40% whereas normally its around 20-30.

Na, people do it all the time. I've done it a couple times on the street just screwing around in my truck.

tow/haul won't make you any faster if you are on a stock tune.
