Im most likely guna do a cam /head swap also so I might just wait and see wat it does with 373's. My truck is horrible when it comes to gas mileage. About 290-320 out of a full tank (around town)

It's like when people ask me how's the gas mileage, and I say, what's that? With my tune on the 6.0, 4.10's and 20's, I'm a little better than 320. It is what it is. I refuse to drive anything that ain't got no powa, I just don't feel safe.

I average 12.5 or so around town, 13 if I drive nicely, maybe 17 on the highway. 6.2 6L80E 3.73 CCSB 4x4 on 285/70-17s. 320 miles a tank isn't bad around town. If you used all 26 gallons that would be about the same mpgs as I get in the city, but nobody runs the tank dry between fills so you're doing better than 13mpg. Sounds fine to me.

Mine hooks at the track but blows them off on the street. Thats too much for me. I do travel on the interstate a little so thats too low lol honestly it felt faster with the 342's. Thats alot of rpm's! I got a 13.17 at 104 but I was deff in 3rd gear. What size cam do you have?
If you're blowing your tires off, how is a lower gear going to help that? Keep the 3.73s, IMO. Especially if you want a good pull from a higher speed. Get a set of caltracs, and try some nittos. That tire profile on a set of 20s is going to be hard to hook. Maybe widen your rear wheels, and run a wider section width tire.
If you think you're fast w/o traction. Hooking up from a punch or a dig is going to be a huge difference.
4.30s and the first gear in a 60e is going to take more than a tire to hook.
