4-6 drop wheel and tire help!!
#1
hello, new to the site. i know these posts have been around for awhile but i cant seem to find one.
i have a 2003 gmc regular cab stepside regency. with 22'' weld evo cheyenne 6 wheels. truck already has a 2-4 drop but i recently purchased a 4-6 mcgaughys kit.
they have a 6'' backspacing. and im running 285-45-22 size tire.
my question is will this work? i would obviously like to have as minimal rubbing as possible.

Tires will be a too big for a 4/6 drop. Most people run a 265/35/22 on this kind of drop, but I like a little sidewall. Depending on the offset of the wheels, you may get away with some 285/40s or 285/35s, which is what I would personally run. Make sure you roll them rear fenders as well.

What is the width of the rim? And definitely too big of tires. 265/35/22 or 285/35/22 would be best. FYI, a 285/35/22 is just about the same height as stock, and larger in diameter and you will rub.
